Meet the Women Who Keep iFixit Working

March is Women’s History Month and today is International Women’s Day—so we thought we’d take this opportunity to shine a spotlight on some of the great women who work at iFixit and its sister software company, Dozuki.

When you go to a website like iFixit and scroll through the guides, it’s easy to forget that there are tons of real people keeping all those bits and bytes running smoothly. But there are literally dozens of us! We’re an incredibly diverse team, split between two continents—but we’re united by a love of tinkering and repair.

Repair is universal, but the workforce can be less egalitarian. iFixit is both a tech company and a tool company—and, unfortunately, those are both industries where women are underrepresented. At iFixit and Dozuki, 31% of us are women.

That’s not bad for the industry. But it could be better. Which is why it’s so important for us to highlight the women who help make this company, and this community, happen. We answer emails, ship packages, make tools, write blogs, translate repair guides, manage teams, tear down gizmos, and build software. And we’re moms, and wives, and hikers, and writers, and couch potatoes. We’re people, and we’re undeniably awesome.

So, without further ado, here are just a few of the many women who keep iFixit working:
