iPhone 6 and 6 Plus X-Ray Vision Wallpapers

Now that iFixit’s industrious teardown team is home and recovered from that nasty Australian jet lag, we’ve been cracking on repair guides for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. And with the devices open on our photo table, it was (of course) time to take our yearly iPhone internals wallpaper pics.

Show off the guts and glory that make your iPhone tick. It’s basically like having X-ray vision, except without all the privacy violations. (By the way, if you actually want to see what the iPhone 6 or 5s look like under x-ray, one of our community members has got you covered.)

These wallpapers are designed to be fully compatible with iOS’s parallax effect—so they’re a bit larger than the iPhone’s viewable resolution, and work out to 1:1 scale.

The easiest way to load these guys up onto your iPhone? Navigate to this page on your phone and follow the link on the image you want. When you’re taken away from here to a page with just your wallpaper, long press on it and “Save Image.” Be sure to keep the Perspective Zoom feature turned on when you set the wallpaper, otherwise you may wind up with some unsightly white borders around your beautiful internals. You can set the wallpaper from “Wallpapers & Brightness” in your phone’s Settings—”Choose a New Wallpaper” lists your recent photos, including downloads. Now enjoy your see-through phone.
