All MacBooks deserve happy feet. The rubber feet on their bottom cases, that is.
We just launched our Underbelly Fix Kits so you can replace your MacBook’s missing rubber feet and screws with one handy kit. It’s a super easy repair—in fact, you can do it in just four steps!
Apple wants to charge you $100+ for the repair, but you can do it yourself for as little as $10. And right now, you can even put your MacBook’s best foot forward for free! Just tag us in a photo of your three-legged laptop for your chance to win a free Underbelly Fix Kit. Post it to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with the hashtag #iFixit by January 31st to enter to win. We’ll be picking our favorite submissions on February 1st!
Stop dragging your feet and get your MacBook back on theirs. We look forward to seeing your MacBooks in all their disheveled glory soon.
Some of the best stuff from this company!&
Glad I found you… What a useful little site .. Thanks guys, very much appreciated, your help ..
I have been repairing and replacing parts in my MacBooks for many years
and have found your Site to be very helpful, enjoyable and user friendly,
keep up the good work.
I joined #ifixit in 2012. I endorse everything they stand for (repair IS noble!). The teardowns have helped me more times than I can count, and the tools/toolkits are of superb quality. I recommend them to everyone I can.
Hello, I have 2 weeks can not make an order on your site! Every day I write in support and I was answered only once and did not solve my problem. I thought you’re cool in everything, the quality of service of your online store I no longer believe, I hope the rest you will not let down. I await the letter from you spitsyn.mwork@gmail.com !!!
The only problem I have is. I put a new battery in from i fix it and it swole up until it pushed the screen out. I don’t think there batteries are so good.
I’ve been fixing my Apple computers for 40 years. I won’t buy the 2016 onward laptops.
i phone’s battery will not take the heat of the sun here in Hawaii. If the phone says it is too hot you might have damaged the battery and the swelling issue won’t be far behind. I was too early for discount Apple battery replacement, so Apple Store said $80 and 40 hour wait time. I went to kiosk in Ala Moana Mall and they replaced while you wait for $50. Good option if you are on vacation.
Lots of people sell Mac feet on eBay, and I have bought them a few times.
It never occurred to me to go to Apple to buy from them – what a novel idea. I have had so many bad experiences with Mac computers that Apple is the last place I would go to seek repairs.
