System76 is a computer manufacturer headquartered in Denver, Colorado. The company was founded in 2005 by Carl Richell and Erik Fetzer. The goal of System76 is to sell computers with Linux preinstalled. This thinking inspired the System76 company name, where the 76 references 1776, the year of the American Revolution.
